Simplifies Commercial License Deployment with Open Pricing Policy,
Including Prices as Low as One Dollar
SAN MATEO, Calif., Feb. 22, 2007 - db4objects (www.db4o.com), creator of the leading open source object database, today announced new pricing for the company's object database and replication technologies, including a streamlined pricing policy for commercial applications deploying the company's products.
As part of the company's new pricing policy, db4objects has:
- Published the company's products and services price list
- Streamlined the process for requesting a customized quote directly through a web form
- Implemented an easier way to purchase individual licenses using a web/fax order form and a credit card
- Provided per-cpu pricing for applications running db4o Client/Server including an unlimited number of client connections
- Reduced database prices to $1 per unit in volume quantities for a new db4o Micro license, running on J2ME and .NET CompactFramework platforms
- Introduced software upgrades for customers who are not members of the db4o Developer Network and who would like to replace an earlier commercial license of db4o with the latest version
